I LIVE for days when manipulative, aggressive patients get what they deserve. A patient made an off hand remark about having a gun in his bag because he was unhappy about his care, so we brought the K9 to sniff for gunpowder. He was screaming, threatening staff, and demanding that we pay for a cab so he can get to the movie theater on time. We tried being reasonable, but he was still aggressive, so security ordered the dog to start barking. The patient went from big and bad to a scared little kid in half a second, BEGGING for us to call off the dog.
Then, we escorted him off the property in the rain.
Karma.
dude that is amazing. Wonder what he even presented to the ED for if he could leave afterwards to catch a movie.
